Mission this spring in Lebanon (ancient Phoenicia) - known as the land of great Cedars and the ‘Paris of the Middle East’ for its beauty, culture, food and rich heritage. HEARTFIRE is pleased to collaborate with extraordinary churches and health care organizations in this historical land as we look to take desperately-needed medical services to the people of Lebanon, as well as the Syrian refugees who have been displaced by war.

Designated a H.E.A.R.T. trip by HEARTFIRE, we approach missioning in areas of crisis differently. Here is how it works:

  1. Call-for-Help (November)… Applicants with medical and/or humanitarian skills are encouraged to apply - indicating their interest level and area(s) of expertise. No commitment is necessary during the team-building phase.

  2. Early Planning (December)… Bi-weekly communications will go out to all interested personnel describing current conditions on Lebanon, as well as our evolving strategic plan to serve there.

  3. Team Roster Construction (January)… Assembly of the H.E.A.R.T. team will begin based upon participant qualifications and ability to commit to the rapidly forming schedule. Commitments are made, and 50% of the trip cost will be due.

  4. Final Strategic Planning (February)… Once final team construction has been locked down, the medical and humanitarian service plan will be finalized. The ultimate determination whether to mission will be made during this time.**

  5. Launch (March)… If the green light has been given, the remaining trip balance will be due and the team will travel to Lebanon on March 1st and immediately begin to serve in desperate places. Our goal is to be one of the first teams into Lebanon at the conclusion of the war.

The glory of Lebanon shall come to you, the juniper, the fir, and the cypress together, to adorn My sanctuary; and I will make the place of My feet glorious. - Isaiah 60:13

Participants will be given the opportunity to step out of their comfort zones - serving medically, learning Arabic, developing deep relationality with patients and their family members as they are immersed into Middle Eastern culture while serving in this extraordinary Biblical land.
