Partnering with Health Outreach to the Middle East (H.O.M.E.) and their new state-of-the-art hospital, HEARTFIRE participants will serve in the most densely populated city in the Middle East in both a surgical + medical capacity. Help us care for refugees from surrounding war-torn countries, inhabitants of ‘Garbage City’, and even at a joy-filled Down Syndrome home.
Of course, we'll take time to dive deeply into Egypt's incomparable ancient historical setting, including a felucca ride on the Nile river, the Sphinx, and getting to know one of the seven ancient wonders of the world: the Great Pyramids of Giza (via camel for the adventurous). We’ll also tour the world’s newest power museum: the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM).
But here's the real mystery: as we go to serve those in great need, the more we empty ourselves and give ourselves away, the more we will return home filled. Ready?
